This specialist supported living setting offers a therapeutic, rehabilitation-focused environment for adults with mental health needs, dual diagnoses, and individuals with a forensic history. Situated in a peaceful residential area close to the town centre and seafront, the service provides a calm and nurturing atmosphere where people can work towards greater independence.
Support is available around the clock from an experienced staff team, with personalised plans to foster confidence, coping skills, community inclusion, and long-term independence. Programmes emphasise daily living skills, budgeting, healthy living, vocational skills, and social engagement, underpinned by recovery principles.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager or a Registered Deputy Manager eager to take the next step in their career to lead this high-needs mental health supported living service. This role suits a motivated leader passionate about empowering individuals on their recovery journey and promoting meaningful independence.
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, lead a dedicated team, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high-quality, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a skilled staff team, fostering a positive, empowering, person-centred culture.
- Ensure the service is safe, responsive, effective and well-led in accordance with CQC requirements.
- Oversee person-centred support planning with a strong rehabilitation and recovery focus.
- Maintain robust safeguarding, governance, and risk management practices.
- Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and occupancy effectively.
- Develop strong relationships with service users, families, MDTs, and external partners.
- Champion continuous improvement and best practice across all aspects of service delivery.
Person Specification
- Experienced Registered Manager or Registered Deputy Manager within supported living, mental health, or complex care settings.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience in a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of mental health needs, recovery models, and complex behaviours.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to develop staff, manage performance, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Financially astute, with experience managing budgets and resources.
- Dedicated to person-centred care, staff development, and service improvement.
