About the Service
This supported living service provides 24‑hour support for adults with mild learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, or those who may be vulnerable living alone. It offers an enabling environment where individuals can maintain as much independence as possible while receiving personalised support that meets their assessed needs.
The setting includes 28 self‑contained flats, as well as a communal kitchen, lounge areas, social space, and a garden—creating a warm community feel. Located close to shops, leisure facilities, social clubs, the library, and excellent transport links, the service promotes strong community integration.
Support is delivered by an established team of Support Workers and an Administrator, with care tailored through individualised plans designed to enhance daily living skills, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Registered Manager (or aspiring Registered Deputy Manager) to lead this supported living service. You will guide the team in delivering safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about empowering adults to live independently, strengthening community connections, and creating a safe and supportive home environment for residents with a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong day‑to‑day leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and empowering culture.
- Ensure the service remains safe, responsive, effective, and well‑led in line with regulatory expectations.
- Oversee personalised support plans that focus on independence, daily living skills, and individual goals.
- Maintain robust safeguarding, governance, and risk management practices.
- Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy effectively.
- Build effective relationships with residents, families, external professionals, and partner services.
- Champion continuous improvement and best practice within all operational areas.
Person Specification
- Experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within supported living, learning disability, mental health, or complex needs settings.
- Minimum of 2 years' management experience in a similar service.
- Strong understanding of learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and recovery‑focused support models.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to develop staff, manage performance, and maintain high‑quality standards.
- Financially confident with experience managing service budgets.
- Dedicated to empowering residents, promoting independence, and driving meaningful service improvement.
