The Opportunity
We are supporting our client to appoint a dynamic and clinically confident Clinical Deputy Manager to help lead this specialist nursing and complex‑care service. This role would suit an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about high‑quality care, continuous improvement and supporting a team to deliver safe, effective and person‑centred clinical practice.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing clinical governance, staffing, compliance, quality assurance and day‑to‑day operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical leadership and mentor nursing and care teams to deliver outstanding standards.
- Oversee person‑centred care planning, assessment and clinical risk management.
- Ensure clinical practice aligns with CQC requirements and evidence‑based nursing standards.
- Support medication management, audits, safeguarding processes and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to rota planning, workforce development, competency assessments and supervision.
- Work closely with MDTs, external professionals, families and stakeholders to ensure seamless, high‑quality care.
- Drive ongoing service improvement through feedback, incident analysis and quality‑assurance systems.
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse (RLND / RGN / RNMH) with an active PIN.
- Minimum 2 years’ management or senior clinical leadership experience.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex clinical or neurological needs.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and develop clinical and care teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of clinical governance, assessments and person‑centred practice.
- Financially aware with understanding of resource management.
- Strong organisational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of CQC legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Committed to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
