We are a recruitment agency working in partnership with a well‑established healthcare and social care provider to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team.

This is a multi‑site operational leadership role, ideal for an experienced manager with strong knowledge of CQC compliance, quality governance, and managing managers within complex care environments.


The Role

As Operations Manager, you will have responsibility for overseeing multiple services, supporting Registered Managers, and ensuring services are safe, compliant, high‑quality, and financially viable.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, regulators, commissioners, and board-level teams, playing a key role in quality improvement, operational performance, and strategic development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Service / Registered Managers across multiple services
  • Ensure CQC compliance and adherence to all regulatory and quality standards
  • Drive service quality, occupancy, and operational performance
  • Lead on audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement
  • Attend CQC inspections and ensure actions are implemented
  • Provide operational and crisis management support where required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and commissioners
  • Support recruitment, development, and performance management of managers
  • Provide analytical reporting and performance data to senior leadership
  • Ensure services remain financially viable and operationally efficient

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the healthcare or social care sector
  • Proven experience in a senior operational management role
  • Confident managing and developing management teams
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and governance
  • Commercially and operationally astute
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible and resilient, able to manage complex services and priorities
