The opportunity
A leading women’s specialist inpatient service in West Yorkshire is recruiting RMNs to join an experienced MDT delivering an integrated pathway from low secure environments to open rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs.
The service is set in spacious grounds and has undergone extensive refurbishment, creating bright, contemporary care environments designed to encourage therapeutic engagement, emotional stability and recovery. It is also recognised as the largest female personality disorder service in the UK, providing assessment and treatment for women with complex and often multifaceted needs. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) rates the service ‘Good’ overall.
The role
You’ll deliver high-quality mental health nursing care within a specialist women’s pathway, supporting patients through stabilisation, therapeutic engagement, and progression along the care pathway.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe, recovery-focused nursing care for women with complex needs
- Complete assessments, observations, care planning and positive risk management
- Administer medication safely and monitor physical and mental health
- Work closely with the MDT to support therapeutic goals and pathway progression
- Maintain high-quality documentation and shift handovers
- Promote dignity, respect and trauma-informed care approaches (where applicable)
What you’ll need
- RMN qualification with active NMC PIN
- Experience in secure/rehab/PICU/acute settings helpful (not essential if you have the right values and willingness to learn)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A compassionate, professional approach aligned to recovery and patient-centred care
