The opportunity
A well-established acute inpatient mental health hospital in the Sleaford area is recruiting RMNs to join a supportive MDT delivering stabilisation-led care within a modernised environment. The service completed a significant refurbishment last year, including two purpose-designed acute wards, to enhance patient care and experience.
The clinical approach is built around best-practice guidance from NHS England and NICE, offering a structured, evidence-based environment where nurses are valued and supported. The service is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The role
You’ll deliver safe, compassionate, recovery-focused nursing care for adults experiencing acute mental health needs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to support stabilisation and timely onward planning.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care
- Complete assessments, observations, risk management and care planning
- Administer medication safely in line with NMC standards
- Provide therapeutic engagement and de-escalation support
- Maintain accurate documentation and effective handovers
- Uphold safeguarding and clinical governance requirements
What you’ll need
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC PIN
- Inpatient/acute experience is beneficial (but not essential with the right attitude and support needs)
- Calm, compassionate approach and confidence working in structured settings
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
