The Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a well-established residential care home. The highly experienced and skilled team support people with a wide range of mental health issues, from mild anxiety and depression to more severe and enduring conditions.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and a positive, inclusive culture for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in leading a safe, effective, and high-quality service
- Promote a person-centred approach to care planning and delivery
- Assist with CQC compliance, safeguarding, and governance processes
- Supervise, support, and develop staff through coaching and performance management
- Contribute to audits, quality improvement plans, and service development
- Build strong relationships with families, external professionals, and stakeholders
- Ensure a positive, engaging, and therapeutic environment for residents
What You’ll Need
- Experience in a Deputy Manager or Senior role within residential care
- Background supporting individuals with dementia, mental health, or physical disabilities
- Understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards
- Leadership skills with the confidence to support and motivate teams
- A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
