We are delighted to be working with our client, a leading, nationwide provider of specialist mental health services, to recruit a Ward Manager. This organisation provides inpatient care and rehabilitation for men and women experiencing complex, mental health challenges.
The service delivers high-level support, inpatient rehabilitation and mental health care, within a safe, structured and therapeutic environment.
Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists and social workers, all working collaboratively to develop individualised, evidence-based care plans.
The overall approach is centred on:

The Role
The role is for an experienced and motivated Ward Manager (RMN / RNLD) to lead a clinical team within a specialist mental health inpatient service.
You will take responsibility for the clinical and operational leadership of the ward, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care while fostering a positive and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the ward team
- Ensure high standards of clinical care and patient safety
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding
- Lead on clinical governance, audits and quality improvement
- Support and develop nursing and care teams
- Manage staffing levels, rotas and resources
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
- Promote a recovery-focused and therapeutic culture
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards

About You
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD with active NMC registration
- Experience in a Ward Manager or senior nursing role
- Strong background in inpatient or complex mental health services
- Excellent understanding of clinical governance and compliance
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Passionate about recovery-focused care
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
