We are delighted to be working with our client, a leading provider of specialised services for women with complex health issues, to recruit a Charge Nurse. This opportunity is within a well-established specialist care service in Leeds, part of a leading independent nationwide provider of high-quality care for females who have complex mental health, personality disorder, and physical health needs.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Charge Nurse (RMN) to take on a key leadership role within the clinical team.
You will be responsible for leading shifts, supporting staff, and upholding the highest standards of care, while promoting a positive, safe, and therapeutic environment for service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the clinical team on shift
- Deliver high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care
- Undertake clinical assessments and manage risk
- Administer and oversee medication management
- Support, mentor, and supervise nursing and care staff
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and compliant care documentation
- Promote a recovery-focused and therapeutic environment
- Ensure safeguarding, infection control, and governance standards are upheld
About You
- Registered RMN with active NMC registration
- Experience in complex mental health or specialist care settings
- Knowledge of personality disorders and/or physical health needs (desirable)
- Previous leadership or senior nurse experience desirable
- Strong clinical decision-making ability
- Passionate about delivering person-centred care
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
