This specialist supported‑living setting supports adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs to live as independently as possible. Individuals are encouraged to develop essential life skills, build confidence and take positive steps toward greater autonomy.
The service comprises self‑contained accommodation alongside shared communal spaces to promote social inclusion, structure, and routine. Located close to local amenities and public transport, it offers a stable, recovery‑focused environment where people can work toward meaningful long‑term outcomes.
The Opportunity
We are supporting our client to recruit an experienced and motivational Registered Manager to lead this high‑needs supported‑living provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed leader who thrives on empowering individuals, guiding staff teams and ensuring the delivery of safe, person‑centred care.
You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, champion quality standards, support ongoing skill development, and maintain a culture where independence, dignity and personal growth are prioritised.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and inspire a skilled staff team, promoting a positive and person‑centred culture.
- Ensure the service consistently meets CQC expectations around safe, effective, responsive and well‑led care.
- Oversee personalised support planning with a focus on independence, community integration and building life skills.
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding, governance and risk‑management frameworks.
- Monitor and manage resources, staffing, budgets and occupancy.
- Build collaborative relationships with families, professionals and external partners.
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure best practice across all aspects of service delivery.
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse (RLND / RGN / RNMH) with an active PIN or strong leadership background within supported living, mental health or complex care
- Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a similar care environment.
- Experience supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
- Strong understanding of care legislation, CQC guidance and governance requirements.
- Financially astute with experience managing budgets and resources.
- Passionate about person‑centred care, service development and staff progression.
