Senior Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist
Lead, mentor and shape a growing paediatric SLT service, while remaining hands‑on with a specialist caseload. Our client is seeking an experienced clinician to provide clinical leadership for the SLT function, maintain a complex caseload, and drive service development alongside the senior leadership. Ideal for someone who enjoys balancing advanced practice with coaching others and improving pathways.
The role
- Deliver advanced assessment and intervention for complex/high‑risk presentations (e.g., ASD, DLD, feeding & swallowing).
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and reflective practice; identify CPD needs and uphold clinical quality and consistency.
- Lead service planning and pathway development; refine protocols, assessment frameworks and documentation standards; support recruitment and induction.
- Collaborate closely with OT, psychology and education partners; contribute to safeguarding, governance, audits and outcomes monitoring.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategy, innovation and growth.
About you
- Recognised SLT qualification with current professional registration (e.g., HCPC) and significant post‑qualification paediatric experience.
- Proven track record with complex caseloads and providing clinical supervision; confident communicator and role model.
- Desirable: prior team/lead role; specialist skills in AAC and/or dysphagia; experience in multidisciplinary or private practice settings.
