Service Type: Small Residential Care Home – Learning Disabilities | Mental Health | Early-Onset Dementia
Are you a compassionate, experienced Nurse Manager looking to lead a dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults?
We’re looking for a Registered Nurse Manager to support and oversee a small, welcoming residential care home in Clacton-on-Sea.
This home provides high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and early-onset dementia, often supporting residents with complex needs and step-down pathways from hospital care.
⭐ Your Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Inspire, motivate and guide a committed care team
- Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure excellent standards of care
Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislative requirements
- Ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care delivery
Financial & Service Management
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively
- Contribute to the ongoing stability and development of the service
Relationship Building
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, social workers, and professionals
- Promote a warm, inclusive, and supportive home environment
⭐ Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse: RGN / RNLD / RNMH with active NMC registration
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in a care or nursing home
- CQC Registered Manager status – desirable but not essential
- Strong experience with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Challenging Behaviour
- Excellent knowledge of CQC frameworks, safeguarding, and quality standards
- Confident leader with outstanding communication and organisational skills
